?????? ¡Es con gran alegría que les anuncio que Coco ha recibido dos reconocimientos importantísimos!  Recibió dos menciones honoríficas en las categorías del “Mariposa Award” como Mejor primer libro – Infantil y Juvenil – español y el Mejor libro ilustrado de ficción para niños del International Latino Book Awards. Recibo este honor con los brazos abiertos y lo comparto con mi ilustradora Alejandra López.  Una gran artista que dio vida a la visión que yo tenía para Coco la cotorra puertorriqueña.   ¡Gracias Alejandra y felicidades! Muchas gracias a todos quienes apoyaron a Coco la cotorra puertorriqueña: a mis lectores grandes y peques, al profesor Dr. Rodrigo Figueroa Obregón de New Mexico State University, a mi editora Mariana Llanos, a mi esposo por apoyar mis aventuras y a mi hijo por ser mi fuente de inspiración.

It is with great joy that I announce that Coco has received two very important recognitions!  It received two honorable mentions in the “Mariposa Award” categories for Best First Book – Children’s and Young Adult – Spanish and Best Illustrated Fiction Book for Children.  I receive this honor with open arms and share it with my illustrator Alejandra Lopez.  A great artist who brought to life the vision I had for Coco the Puerto Rican parrot, thank you, Alejandra, and congratulations!
